JURORS FOR BOK PRIZES ARE CHOSEN

Special Jury to Select Advertisement With Best Typography--Gold Medal for Outstanding Services

Announcement has been made of the men appointed to the Jury of Award for the Harvard Advertising Awards, founded in 1923 by Edward Bok. Twelve jurors were appointed by Dean W. B. Donham '98, of the Harvard Business School, to make the awards for the current year.

The following is a list of jurors. John Benson of Benson and Gamble, Advertising Agency of Chicago; S. E. Conybeare, President of the Association or National Advertisers and Assistant Sales Manager of the Armstrong Cork Company of Lancaster, Pa.; H. T. Ewald, President of the Campbell-Ewald Company of Detroit; F. C. Kendall, Editor of "Advertising and Selling Fortnightly," New York; W. D. Moriarty, Professor of Economics at the University of Southern California, A. C. Pearson, Treasurer of the United Publishers Corporation of New York; Hartford Powel Jr., Editor of the "Youth's Companion", Boston; Louis Wiley, Business Manager of the New York Times; and Professor M. T. Copeland and Assistant Professor N. H. Borden of the Harvard Business School.

Special Jury Named

A special jury, which will make the award for the advertisement most effective in the use of the Typography, was also appointed, consisting of Joseph M. Bowles of the William Edwin Rudge Company, Printing House of New York; Everett R. Currier, President of Currier and Hartford, Ltd., New York; and D. B. Updike of the Merrymount Press, Boston.

The jury will convene in Boston the middle of January to make the awards for the year 1926.

The following awards will be made: prizes of $2,000 each, for the best national campaign, for the best campaign of industrial products, for the best local campaign, and for the best local campaign in cities of 100,000 population or less; a $2,000 prize for the most conspicuous advertising research to bring about economy and preclude waste; four prizes of $1,000 each for advertisements most effective in the use of text, in the use of pictorial illustration, in the combination of text and illustration, and in the use of typography.

A gold medal will be awarded to the individual or organization which most merits recognition for contemporary services to advertising.
