The New England Intercollegiate Wrestling Tournament will take place in the M. I. T. gymnasium tomorrow and Saturday. Harvard will be defending its title against five teams: Brown, Williams, Tufts, M. I. T., Northeastern. Harvard, Brown and Williams are the favorites and there is little to choose between them. Brown has own all its matches except one, in which they received a set back from the University wrestlers. The Yale matmen, however, who defeated the Crimson last Saturday, came out on the short end of the score when they met Brown several weeks ago.

Meet Marks Williams Debut

The Crimson and Brown wrestlers have defeated Springfield by almost the same score. This is the first year that Williams has been in the Tournament and it has not met any opponent of either Harvard or Brown. The Purple record, however, has been unbroken by a defeat during the season, and Livingston, its captain, won the 158pound New England Amateur Championship last year.

Four champions will be defending their titles Saturday night. Carl Stearns '26, in the 135-pound class, Burke of M. I. T. in the unlimited, and Friedman and Sulzberger of Brown in the 175-pound and 145-pound classes respectively. B. J. Goldberg '26 won the 125-pound title two years ago, but lost it last year when he was forced to enter the meet with an injured foot.

Bradford and Turner Bulk Large

Captain C. H. Bradford '26 in the unlimited, and B. C. Turner '27 in the 115-pound groups are conceded good chances by the followers of the Crimson game. Turner has own seven consecutive bouts this season.

While the first string men are wrestling, second teams representing Brown, M. I. T. and Tufts will try to take from the University seconds the title they won last year. The bouts will take place at the same time as the University struggles on Friday and Saturday nights. The first string men will have to wrestle the semi-final round on Saturday afternoon.

Tickets for the preliminary bouts on Friday evening will cost 50 cents each, those for both rounds Saturday 75 cents and those for all three sessions $1.00. They may be secured at the H. A. A. and at the door.
