First plans for the Freshman Jubilee will be made at the mass meeting to be held tonight at 7.30 o'clock in the Smith Halls Common Room, at which President Lowell and Captain E. G. Smith leader of the Freshman Glee Club will be the speakers. In addition, the Glee Club under Captain Smith's direction will afford entertainment at the meeting.

A. E. French, President of the Class and John Tudor Chairman of the Jubilee Committee will also be present at the assembly and have urged all Freshmen to attend since upon the initial impulse given to the arrangements for the Jubilee largely depends the success of the festivity at the end of May.

Plan for Choruses

The purpose of the meeting will, on the whole, be to present plans for the Jubilee which will be held toward the end of May, and two features will be dealt with in particular. In the first place, plans will be made for dormitory choruses. The general outline to which details will be added tonight provides for a chorus in every hall, each one of which will compete at the Jubilee, the winning dormitory gaining as prize a silver cup.

The other matter which will be discussed at the meeting will deal with the rules and conditions of the prize song competition, and the regulations under which this competition may be entered will be presented. The song is to be written by a member of the class, but two men may also work together, one writing the words and the other the music. The song will be submitted to a committee consisting of three men who are connected with the musical department of the University, and will be announced within two or three weeks.

In the competition between the dormitory choruses at the Jubilee each chorus will sing the Class Song, and one other which is to be chosen by the individual dormitory.
