University Team Goes Under at Nyatt by 7 to 2 Count--Freshmen Lose Meet in 6 to 3 Contest

Nyatt, R.I., May 30--Playing four somes in the morning and singles matches in the afternoon on the Rhode Island Country Club course, the Harvard golfers suffered a decisive setback here today in their matches with Yale. The Crimson teams dropped the University contest 7 to 2 and the Freshman event 6 to 3.

The only bright spot of the competition, from a Cambridge standpoint, was the brilliant play of Captain Phillips Finally of the Harvard first-year men. This player scored a 74 in his foursome round.

University Twosomes Lanman (Y) defeated Captain, J.A. Rutehinson '28, up; Pasker (Y) defeated Joseph Morrill '28, 1 and 3, Knapp (Y) defeated 3 W. Hutehinson '30, 4 and 3; Forrest (Y) defeated C.L. Stover '30, 1 up; Ryan (Y) defeated O.L. Winston '30, 4 and 3; J.W. Filoon '29 defeated Dow (Y), 3 and 2.

University Foursomes Captain Hutchinson and Merrill defeated Lanman and Parker (Y), 3 and 2; Knapp and Forrest (Y) defeated Hutchiuson and Winston, 3 and 2; Dow and Ryan (Y) defeated Stever and Filloon. 3 and 4.
