HARVARD FILM VISITS HAWAII, CHINA, PAMPAS

AMBASSADOR SHOWS MOVIES IN ARGENTINE

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Visiting over 40 Harvard Clubs and gatherings scattered throughout the nation, the film produced for the Harvard Alumni Association by the University Film Foundation traveled several thousand miles last year. One print of the film was sent west, where it was shown as far away as Hawaii, before a group of Harvard men there. Another traveled to South America, where it was shown by R. W. Bliss '00, Ambassador to the Argentine. A third copy was carried to China by Professor J. M. Woods, who was present at the dedication ceremonies of Yenching University, near Peiping.

Continue Showings

In addition to these out-of-the-way places, the film was shown in many American towns and cities, large and small, wherever a group of Harvard men, or a Club, asked to have it sent to them. This coming year the film will continue to visit audiences of alumni.

The object of the film is to supply the demand among Harvard men all over the country that they be kept in touch with the University. Now that the film is available, it is especially valuable where men have not the time to return to Cambridge often. It was made during the fall and winter months of 1928-29 by the University Film foundation, under the direction of J. A. Haeseler '23.

During the coming year pictures of the major athletic events will probably be added, in order to keep the film up to date. Otherwise, no changes in its content are being contemplated.
