GRIDIRON FORCES END PREPARATION

Blue Entrains for Cambridge This Morning--Will Practice in Stadium This Afternoon

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The arduous drive of the 1929 football campaign has ended. Yesterday afternoon's light offensive and defensive drill brought to a close the preparation of Harvard's gridiron forces for tomorrow's climatic struggle with the powerful eleven from Yale.

This afternoon Coach Horween's squad will run through a 15-minute signal drill and then repair to the Belmont Spring Country Club. After a period of complete rest, the Crimson players will return to Cambridge at 9.30 o'clock this evening. Spirit runs high in the Harvard camp as every player, with the exception of Potter who is suffering from an injured foot, is in excellent physical condition.

Passing Drills Stressed

Intensive defensive work has given the Harvard team confidence in its ability to halt the touted Eli power plays. The Crimson offense, too, has received its share of polishing up; tomorrow's game should find it clicking at top speed. Better timing and greater speed in the execution of running plays has been the aim of the Harvard mentors.

Yesterday afternoon's session found the Harvard squad working out in the protection of the Briggs baseball cage. The 1932 class team and the Seconds once again demonstrated the Blue attacking formations. Following this drill the players received instruction from the individual coaches. Forward and lateral passing was once again emphasized as the backs brushed up on their attack.
