ANNOUNCE NOMINATIONS FOR FRESHMAN OFFICES

PETITION OF TWENTY SUFFICIENT FOR CANDIDACY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Nominations for officers of the Freshman class were announced last night by W. R. Harper '30, who is in charge of Freshman affairs. Any names may be added to this list by presenting a petition signed by 20 members of the Freshman class to Harper in Claverly 53. In order to be nominated a student must be in good standing.

In a statement to the CRIMSON yesterday, Harper said, "That all nominations for officers of the Freshman Class be dictated by one person would be wholly undesirable. For that reason I wish to impress upon the members of the Class of 1932 that this list of nominees is merely to start the ball rolling. It is hoped that by next Monday, a good many additional nominations by petition will be received. The names that appear below are those which have caught my attention, merely because they have received more publicity, but in point of popularity and desirability as leaders, many others may be quite as capable. Therefore, I urge all Freshmen to take a hand in the affair, and present as many petitions to me as they desire."

All nominations will close on next Monday at 5 o'clock. The elections will be held on Wednesday, February 13, at Sever Hall and Gore Hall. The list of nominees so far is as follows:

For President

William Barry Wood Jr. '32, of Milton.

Charles Crehore Cunningham '32, of Milton.

For Vice-President

Edmund Austin Mays Jr. '32, of Montclair, New Jersey.

Joseph Rawson Collins '32, of Cincinnati.

For Secretary-Treasurer

Crispin Cooke '32, of Buffalo.

Norwood Penrose Hallowell Jr. '32, of Readville, Massachusetts.
