DILLARD WILL LECTURE ON HYDRO-ELECTRIC STATION

A talk on the Fifteen Mile Fall hydro-electric development will be given by E. W. Dillard, electrical engineer of the New England Power Construction Company, tomorrow evening at 7.30 o'clock in a meeting of the Harvard Engineering Society in 110 Pierce Hall.

In conjunction with the talk, a model of the development, showing the operation of the turbines and sluices with water actually flowing through them, has been set up in the students' smoking room on the first floor of Pierce Hall. The generating station, of which the model is an exact representation, contains four turbines yielding a total of 200,000 horsepower. This is sent over an 145 mile three phase line at a potential of 220,000 volts to the Boston Edison Company's power station at Woburn for re-delivery. The water power station is one of the largest in New England and operates on the highest voltage used anywhere in the country.
