TEAM DRILLS FOR HOLY CROSS GAME IN LONG WORKOUT
Brilliant Halfback Out of Practice But Will Play Saturday--Rest of Squad Intact
Somewhat substantiating current opinion that Horween will make the Holy Cross clash Saturday more than a practice session and that he will have full strength ready for the Crusaders, the two elevens yesterday went through a lengthy practice session, first working on fundamentals, and concluding the afternoon with a glance at Holy Cross plays.
At the start of the afternoon the backs and ends polished up blocking and tackling technique, with an added smoothing off of assignments. Then the seconds came on the field and ran through Holy Cross plays in dummy scrimmages with the two first teams. The day ended with a brisk signal drill.
As far as injuries go, the squad is in good shape, since all the squad was at the field and should be all right for Saturday. Crickard was only at the practice for a short time, doing a brief jog but it seems likely that he will be available for the game.
Team A lined up with Harding and Moushegian alternating at left end; Richards was at his regular place at left tackle, with Myerson at left guard: Ticknor and Trainer filled their usual posts at center and right guard, while Trafford and Kales alternated at right tackle: at right end Ogden was at his regular position: in the backfield Wood called the signals, with Mays and Huguley at left and right half back respectively and White at full.
