The Harvard Liberal Club received a letter from the White House last night acknowledging the petition urging drastic naval disarmament which the club sent to Washington last Wednesday. The letter, signed by George Akerson, secretary to President Hoover, read as follows: "Your letter of February 26th with enclosed petition signed by 35 members of the faculty and 571 students of Harvard University has been received and I shall place it before the President. I know he will appreciate your sending him this petition."
