Two football games, Eliot vs. Leverett, and Winthrop vs. Lowell, opened the inter-house football season this afternoon at Soldiers Field. The only score of the afternoon was made by Ripley of Winthrop House, and Wightman, who added the point after touchdown, resulting in a final score of Winthrop 7, Lowell 0. The result of the Eliot-Leverett game was a scoreless tie. The game were the first of several which are going to be played this fall in order to determine which team shall play a Yale class team at the end of the season.
