Three of the four gates to the Yard which have been closed during the construction of the Wigglesworth Dormitories will be opened next Saturday, April 4, according to the superintendent in charge of the work. Outside work around the buildings will be finished and proper runways built by that time so that only inspection and consent by the University authorities will be necessary to permit opening the Yard entrances.
Since the College opened in September, students have been forced to enter the Yard by the '57 or Dudley gates, as the Dexter, '77, '89, and McKean gates were closed by the construction company. Routes through the arches under the three new dormitories will be opened through the Dexter, McKean, and '89 gates. The main '77 gate back of Widener will remain closed for some time for the use of the construction company.
