"Hotel Universe", by Philip Barry, will be the annual spring production of the Radcliffe Idler Society. The first presentation of this long one act piece will occur on Thursday, March 19, at the Agassiz Theatre. Five Harvard men will take part in it.
The cast is not yet entirely determined, but for the men's parts I. C. Martin '34, J. E. Beaumont '33, P. G. Hoffman '32, and J. S. Jennison '30 are definitely slated, while Rosemary McHugh, Betty Crocker, and Jane Mast will take three of the four women's parts.
This play, by the author of "Holiday" and "Tomorrow and Tomorrow", was generally recognized in New York last year as one of the most outstanding artistic successes of the season. It is certainly the most ambitious and brilliant play which Mr. Barry has ever produced, violating as it does many of the ordinary rules of drama.
