DUNSTER TENNIS TEAM WINS FROM LOWELL, 4 TO 1

Evens Inter-House Series at Score of Three Victories Each--Plans Now Being Made for Next Year

Bringing the first inter-House athletic season to a close, the Dunster House tennis team defeated Lowell, 4 to 1, on Friday afternoon. This match marked the sixth athletic meeting between the two Houses during the current year, Dunster and Lowell having each won three of the contests.

In the first occasion of rivalry, last fall, the Dunster football team won from its opponents, 7 to 6, in a closely played game. Lowell then took the lead in the series during the early part of the winter, winning swimming and basketball contests easily. The complete score was evened at two apiece when the Dunster squash team, which had been organized early in the winner defeated Lowell, 3 to 2 using the team which finished third in Class D of the Massachusetts State Squash League in the spring, a Lowell crew decisively defeated its opponents by two lengths in one half mile, as well as winning several races with various other dormitory crews. Plans were unsuccessfully made for rivalry in either sports, but could not be carried out.

Next year, with all seven Houses in operation, intramural athletics will be held on a more formal basis, displacing the former interclass teams in the several sports. Members of the different House Committees will gather some time this week to discuss intramural sports and schedules, and make plans for next fall. Final arrangements will probably be made under the arrangement of A. W. Samborski '26, director of Intramural Athletics.
