DOUGLAS HUNTLEY GORDON '26 MADE PRESIDENT OF ST. JOHN'S

Douglas Huntley Gordon '26, of Baltimore, has been elected President of St. John's College in Annapolis. Gordon, who is one of the youngest college presidents in the country, succeeds Dr. Enoch B. Garey, who was president from 1923 until 1929.

In Harvard, Gordon was an editor of his class Red Book, and of the Advocate. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and received his degree summa cum laude. In 1928, he graduated from the Harvard Law School.

Gordon is now a member of the Board of Visitors and Governors of St. John's and has been secretary for the last year. He is a member of the House of Delegates of the Maryland legislature.
