FRESHMAN NET TEAM MOVES OUT OF DOORS FOR FIRST TIME

Tournament of 90 First Year Men Now In Progress To Enlarge Squad

After a month of indoor practice, the eight Freshmen who had been selected by Coach Harry Cowles for pre-season training on the courts of the New Indoor Athletic Building played outside yesterday for the first time this season. A tournament is now in progress, in which about 90 aspirants are entered, and from this group Coach Cowles will choose ten or 12 more players. These men, together with the first eight, will form the 1935 squad, and by a series of elimination matches within the squad the six men who will make up the first team will be selected. The first match of the season will be with the University Seconds on April 23, and will be followed on April 30 by the meet with Dartmouth.

The eight netmen who will form the nucleus of the 1935 squad are: M. L. Baughman '35, A. H. Bryan '35, W. C. Coleman '35, W. E. Ingalls '35, O. W. Jarrell '35, Summer Rodman '35, I. M. Street '35 and F. P. Whitbeck '35.
