This year the schedule of meets for the Varsity and Freshman swimming teams has been enlarged to a greater extent than ever before. Whereas last year the Varsity competed in only six meets, all of which they won, with the exception of the Yale contest, there will be twelve meets in all this year. Last year M.I.T., Pittsburgh, Columbia, Dartmouth, and Brown were submerged by Coach Ulen's natators. Four of these are on the present schedule as given out by the H.A.A.; Pittsburgh will not compete against Harvard this year.
The complete schedule is as follows: Dec. 15, Bowdoin; Dec. 20, M.I.T. (pending); Jan. 13, Amherst; Jan. 17, Providence Boys' Club; Jan. 27, Boston University; Feb. 10, Columbia; Feb. 17, Dartmouth (at Hanover); Feb. 24, Brown; Mar. 8, Colgate; Mar. 7, Springfield College; Mar. 9, Franklin and Marshall; Mar, 14, Yale (at New Haven).
The Freshman schedule is likewise enlarged, with nine meets arranged so far by the H.A.A. as against five meets held last year. The 1936 team won only their meet with M.I.T., and lost to Andover, Brown 1936, Worcester, and Yale. This year the 1937 team's schedule starts with a meet with M.I.T. Freshmen on Dec. 16.
