President Lowell will give his farewell address to the Class of 1936 at the annual Freshman Smoker tonight at 8.15 o'clock in the Union. Although the subject of his speech has not been announced, it is expected that it will deal with some aspects of the problem of concentration.

President Lowell's address is the first event on the program for the evening. He will be met at the door by the Freshman Class Officers and escorted to the platform, where he will be introduced by Shaun Kelly, Jr. '36, class president. The President's speech will be followed by short talks from Kelly, F. R. Moseley, Jr. '36, and R. S. Playfair '36, secretary-treasurer. Cups for the ping pong and pool tournaments will be awarded by Kelly.

For the lighter part of the program, Harry Bolden, a negro entertainer, has been secured to dance, sing, and give monologues. He will be assisted at the piano by Win Danielson. Newell and Hart, a comedy team, will also perform. It had been hoped to have a quartet from the Instrumental Clubs, but they will be unable to appear, as they are assisting the Hasty Pudding Club in its show tonight. Ashtrays and pipes, inscribed with "H '36" will be given away as souvenirs. There will be refreshments and cigarettes on every table.

The Smoker Committee, which is headed by Braman Gibbs '36, includes: A. A. Ballantine, Jr. '36, N. H. Blatchford '36, A. A. Bliss '36, Shephard Brooks '36, N. L. Cahners '36, G. VanD. Comfort '36, F. S. Deland, Jr. '36, J. F. Ducey, Jr. '36, W. S. Fitz '36, Guy Garland '36, W. D. Hardwick '36, Francis Keyes '36, N. P. Letarte '36, B. C. McDonald '36, and W. W. Prout '36.
