BASEBALL TEAM UNABLE TO VISIT JAPAN THIS SUMMER

Numerous difficulties will make it impossible for the Varsity baseball team to make its proposed trip to Japan this summer, H.A.A. officials announced yesterday. Several of the more vital members of the outfit could not go under any circumstances because of summer jobs or similar activities.

Two other troubles are the fact that the whole team would not get back to Cambridge is September until a week after the opening of College and the financial difficulty of paying expenses between Boston and San Francisco. Steamship fare across the Pacific would be paid by the Japanese group sponsoring the trip.
