Six Freshmen Chosen for Union Library Committee

Yardlings to Aid Faculty Members in Selecting Books

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Six Freshmen were appointed yesterday to the Union Library Committee to join with faculty members in selecting books for the Library. Those chosen, E. D. Chase, R. H. Sullivan, H. H. Chatfield, G. S. Viereck Jr., R. M. Bunker, and J. D. Andrews, were notified by Lymah H. Butterfield '30, instructor of English and chairman of the Committee.

The faculty is represented by Delmar Leighton, '19, Dean of Freshmen, Elting E. Morison, '32, assistant dean, Robert S. Hillyer, '17, associate professor of English, J. B. Munn, '12, professor of English, W. J. Bender, '27, instructer of Government, and Charles T. Copeland, '82, professor emeritus.

Although there is no strict basis for choosing men, good marks in the November hour examinations and the recommendation of a faculty member weigh heavily.
