Upperclassmen Must Spare a Five for the Student Council

Otherwise Budget Deficit Compels a Second Campaign

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Only a little over $300 has been colected from that third of the upperclassmen who registered Saturday according to a statement released by the Student Council last night. This is about $200 less than the amount received in Memorial Hall last year and the pledges show a proportionate drop.

While the Freshmen contributed their usual $2,000, collections will have to increase Monday or a second campaign will be conducted during the school year. The Council had a budget of $9,000 last year but operated at a loss of about $1,000. Despite reductions to allow for the loss the present prospect points toward a further loss.

Pledges have been received for about 60 per cent of the amount up to this date of last year.
