From their third match in an undefeated season the Freshman fencers emerged victors over Exeter, 8 to 1 Saturday afternoon at Exeter. All nine matches were with folls which handicapped those Crimson swordsmen who specialize in the epee and sabre. Tyler S. Nabsted, Exonian captain, outpointed Albert H. Labastie '40 for the only Red and Gray victory. Outstanding for the 1940 team were Captain Cranston E. Jones, Robert O. Miller, and Joseph W. Goldzieher with two wins apiece to their credit.
