‘The Architect of the Whole Plan’: Harvard Law Graduate Ken Chesebro’s Path to Jan. 6
For the first time this year the Freshman football team pitted itself against the varsity; yesterday afternoon the B team regulars scrimmaged Skip Stanley's eleven. The yearlings were hindered by the absence from practice of their two halfbacks, Fred Spreyer and Harold Tine.
The scrimmage was stationary and closely supervised by Harlow. At first the yardlings had a case of jitters and did not get their machine working smoothly. As the scrimmage progressed, however, they were able to stop the gains of Bob James and Bob Jones quite effectively. In their own offense, Freshmen could not make much headway.
Harlow made the first promotion from the Junior Varsity to the Varsity yesterday since the reserve squad was formed. Bart Kelly '40 was the advancement. He has been playing regularly on the Jayvees as end for two years. He is the brother of the famous Harvard captain of 1935, Shaun Kelly.
