Staving off a last half rally, the Varsity indoor polo trio made its season debut Saturday night on the Common-wealth Armory tanbark by edging the Danvers malletmen 11 to 9.

Ben Forbes '39 led the attack with seven goals in the fast, hard-riding contest before a capacity gallery. The Crimson men spotted Danvers two goals but went right into action to check up three goals in the first chukker for a lead that was pared down but never lost.

The two Dillinghams, Ben and Gay, both Juniors, teamed up well with Ben Forbes, whose shooting was especially noteworthy.

In the first period Forbes' portside forehander and a close range half shot by G. Dillingham gave their team the lead. The Crimson led 9 to 2, at the half as the hitting of the Danvers trio missed fire in the first three chukkers.
