PROFESSORS ATTACK WAR

International Congress Is Sought for Elimination of Atrocities

Harvard professors joined New England Congressional leaders yesterday in endorsing the campaign to wipe out he atrocities of modern warfare, and pledged their support to an international congress to revise the rules of war to protect non-combatants.

Pitirim A. Sorokin, professor of Sociology, praised the drive saying: "I am in entire sympathy with any move to end the horrible type of warfare which attacks women and children of civilian population."
