Max Cohen, styled Harvard's "official bookie" by Police Chief Timothy F. Leahy, was arrested on gambling charges here yesterday.
Known to a large number of students, the 41-year-old Cohen, who gave his address as 70 Norway Street, Boston, was booked on charges of registering bets and setting up and promoting a lottery.
A number of "pool" slips were found in Cohen's possession at the time of his arrest, police said.
