"Bookie" Is Arrested By Cambridge Police as Gambler and Promoter

Cohen, Known To Many Harvard Students, Held on Betting and Lottery Charges.

Max Cohen, styled Harvard's "official bookie" by Police Chief Timothy F. Leahy, was arrested on gambling charges here yesterday.

Known to a large number of students, the 41-year-old Cohen, who gave his address as 70 Norway Street, Boston, was booked on charges of registering bets and setting up and promoting a lottery.

A number of "pool" slips were found in Cohen's possession at the time of his arrest, police said.
