35 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR $24,225 GO TO STUDENTS IN GRADUATE SCHOOLS

Award of thirty-five fellowships and scholarships totaling $24,225 for study in the graduate schools during the next academic year was announced today, as follows.

Woodbury Lowery Fellowships in History to Walter D. Brown, of Washington, D.C.; Special Fellowship in the Graduated School of Education to Hope Fisher, of Princeton; Buckley Scholarship to Martin Ritvo, of Dorchester, for study in the Law School; Downer Scholarship to Edward C. Woods, 2Dn., of Rutland, Vermont; Lincoln Scholarship to Richard A. McLean, 2G., of Lincoln; Lydig Scholarship to Jefferson G. Artz, 1G., of Vicksburg, Mississipi; Parlin Scholarship to Irving L. Pavlo, 2M., of Malden; and Vaughn Scholarship to Theodore P. Robie, of New York City, for study at the Medical School.

Parenton, of University, Louisiana; Edward Austin Fellowship to Charles C. Yeager, Jr., of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Bliss Fund and University Scholarship to John M. Chandler, of Bartlett, New Hampshire; Bliss Fund to Arthur E. MacGregor, of Needham; Bliss Fund and University Scholarship to Cammann H. Niederhof, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Bliss fund and University Scholarship to Jonathan W. Wright, of Spokane, Washington; Graduate Fellowships in Government to Edgar J. Kemler, of Baltimore, Maryland, Frederick H. Bullen, of Ithaca, and Charles B. Stauffacher, of Washington, D.C.; John Harvard Fellowships to Wilfred Kaplan, of Jamaica Plain, and Edward A. Robinson, of New York City; Shattuck Scholarship to James C.Abbott, of Melrose; Thayer Fellowship and University Fellowship to Herbert Sprince, of Lewiston, Maine; University Fellowships to Willard D. Graduate School of Engineering; Gordon McKay Scholarship to Richard M. Kovario, of Gloversville, New York; Award from the Gordon McKay Fund to Wilson V. Binger '38, of Warren, Ohio; Fellowships from a grant of the Air Hygiene Foundation of America, Inc., to Leslie Silvermann, of Chicago, Illinois, and Bernard D. Tebbens, of Norwood for one year from July 1.

Peabody Museum: Hemenway Fellowships to Gabriel W. Lasker, of Yonkers, New York, and for the first half-year to John C. F. Motz, of Holbrook; Winthrop Scholarship to John O. Brew, of Malden.

School of Public Health: Fellowships from Rockefeller Foundation Funds to Dr. William McD. Hammon, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a year from June 15, and to Dr. Harald Johnson, of Boston, for ten months from August 15.
