Five meet records were cracked Wednesday when the Yardlings held their annual fall track meet at Soldiers Field. The meet has been run for three years.
Truman Ford gave the best exhibition of the meet, pole vaulting 11 ft., 6 in. to surpass the old record by two feet. MacKinnon with firsts in both hurdles and a first place tie with Pirnie in the 160 yd. dash was the high scorer of the meet, and broke the records in two of the events. Pirnie also broke the record in the broad jump, jumping 21 ft., 5 in.
Marshall set a new record in the 80 yard dash, running the distances were 8.5 seconds. All the distances were shorter than the normal ones because none of the Freshmen had had sufficient training to go the entire route.
