According to a statement yesterday from Reginald H. Phelps, assistant dean in charge of records, 18.1 percent of the Freshman grades in courses in which 50 or more Yardlings are enrolled were unsatisfactory at mid-years. This percentage, which does not signify as yesterday's CRIMSON implied, that 18.1 per cent of the 1942 class is on probation, is the same as that of a year ago.
