HOCKEY TEAM READY FOR McGILL CONTEST

Lost One, 5-3, Won Next 3-1, Tied Final Match 6-6 in ThrILLing Over-Time Score; Same Lineup Expected

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With a 3 game deadlock with Princeton at Lake Placid during the vacation behind it, the Varsity hockey team will meet McGILL University in its first International Intercollegiate Hockey League game at the Boston Arena at 8:30 o'clock tomorrow night.

The Crimson's 5 to 3 defeat of St. Nicks, its 8 to 1 trouncing of B. U., and it recent tied series with Princeton showed that it is well able to handle the Eastern members of the League; but it will be slightly underdog when it meets its first Canadian opponent.

But tomorrow Coach Clark Hodder's aggregation has every chance of repeating its past upsets for McGILL is not the strong team which swept away the League's championship last winter. Though it still boasts some of the country's fastest and tricktest combinations, it lacks such stars as Hughie Farquharson. Ken Farmer Jack McGILL, the Crutchfield brothers, Paul Pidcock , and Russ McConnell.

Crimson and Tigers Even

At Lake Placid, where the Crimson dropped the first game to the Tigers 3 to 6 won the second 5 to 3, and tied the third 6 to 6 the forward combines showed that they had come a long way since the season's start. Rob Perkins was changed to right defense filling Sherm Gray's position, while Rob Gorham held down the left wing position on the first forward line. With Gray back in action tomorrow. Perkins will probably be shifted up to the forward line.

BILL McDonald will center McGILL's starting line with Captain Cam Dickison and Dan Doheny at wings. Ken Brands and Tim Dunn team on defense with Walter Johnson in goal Gorden young. Rowie Walker and Grant Merrison form the alternate of trio.
