Boston, Cambridge and Yard Police and John M. Cochrane '43 are now on the lookout for a person responsible for a Yard robbery which left the Freshman without his only timepiece for three days and permanently without his week's allowance, which he used to get the valuable out of hock.
Although the $75 watch was recovered by the police yesterday in a Roxbury pawn shop, the culprit, who was described by the proprietor as a "man of about 32 years," is as yet undiscovered.
Cochrane, who got the watch last June as a graduation present, was quick to commend the efficiency of the police in recovering such a small object within three days after he reported it.
"Never bring anything valuable to college," however, was his disgusted comment.
