Gilmore Named Senior Tutor of Lowell House

James E. King Will Act as Assistant Senior Tutor in Residence

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Myron P. Gilmore, instructor in History, will replace David Worcester '27, instructor in English, as Senior Tutor of Lowell House, it was learned last night, while James E. King '36, instructor in Government, will act as assistant Senior Tutor in residence.

The immediate cause for the change and the subsequent double appointment is the marriage of Worcester later in the spring. As Gilmore is also married and there are no larger suites in Lowell House it was decided to appoint a single assistant tutor to live in the House.

It was made clear, however, that Gilmore will have first authority in all educational matters. King will live in the suite vacated by Worcester and will be in charge of matters concerning House regulation.

King Studied at Oxford

During the past several years King has studied at Balliol College, Oxford, on a Rhodes scholarship. He graduated with the class of 1936 and returned to America in the middle of this winter to take up his duties in the Government department.
