Although only about ten men showed up, two free-style contests, a back-stroke race, and a medley were run off yesterday in the University Swimming Tournament in the Indoor Athletic Building.

The 150-yard individual medley was by far the closest race of the afternoon, with six entrees. Roger Willcox led during the first 50 yards, of breaststroke, but was overtaken by Dave Barnes in the backstroke lap, and was outdistanced by Barnes in the free style stretch. Barnes took the race in 1:52.4.

Those men who placed will receive medals if they so desire. Since there will be a charge, they are asked to leave their names in the office at the pool.

The summary:

50-yard free-style swim: Won by L. W. Jones; second, P. Daland; third, J. Hughes. Time--25.8.

100-yard breaststroke swim: Won by D. Harting, default.
