The coming of the first real spring day of the season yesterday brought both the Varsity and Freshman tennis teams out of the Indoor Athletic Building and onto the special cork courts at Jarvis Field.

Although it was the first outdoor practice of the year for the full squad, it was not the first for Varsity Coach Jack Barnaby and most of the first ten on the squad. Ever since the close of the basketball season, informal practice has been held on the top floor of the Indoor Athletic Building.

Considering the loss of the first six men of last year's aggregation, Barnaby will have his hands full this spring in building a winning team from comparatively inexperienced Sophomores and Juniors. Captain Sonny Lyell and Orme Wilson are the only returning lettermen.

Because of one of the largest turnouts in recent years, Coach Dick Dorson is optimistic about the success of this year's Yardling team.
