With its All-league goalie George Hanford moving up to the attack and scoring two goals, the Varsity lacrosse team lost its sixth straight game on Saturday afternoon to Springfield 11 to 4.
Goalie Hanford started the games at his usual place in the nets but in the first period, with Springfield leading 2 to 0. Coach Snibbe moved him forward to strengthen the attack. Hanford came through with two goals but only Wally Fenn and Captain Doug Anderson with a goal apiece supported him.
The Freshman team, playing on Soldiers Field, lost to a powerful Exeter team 14 to 3. Mal Donahue and Dave Park tallied in the first period to keep the Yardlings in the battle, and Bob Rodger scored in the next period, but Exeter could not be checked.
