William P. Hall '45, of Adams House and Needham has been appointed Varsity football Manager for 1943, this year's managerial staff announced yesterday, and will take care of any team the Crimson is able to field next year.
William M. Groton '45, of Leverett House and Philadelphia and Robert P. Kelsey Jr. of Eliot House and Chestnut Hill have been named Associate Managers, assigned to guide the Jayvees next year, if there is such a team. Groton and Kelsey were the runners-up in the managerial competition which started when last year's Yardlings started to fight for the Freshman position.
Wartime jumbling of classes and graduation times, which made Dave Arnold and Dave Place, members of the class of '44 and '43, co-managers this year, have eliminated the apprenticeship period for next year's men, as they skip assistant managerships entirely.
