Stories current in Boston tabloids yesterday afternoon saying that the Yard dormitories will be rented or donated to the armed services as a training center, were branded as "pure imagination" last night by University officials.

It is known that every major university throughout the nation has been approached by the Army and Navy in this regard. It is also true that the Yardling dorms will be partially empty with Freshmen moving into the Houses. This plan, however, was considered long before war was declared. The stories rampant yesterday were merely an erroneous conclusion from two unrelated facts, officials declared.
