Two Harvard wrestlers, Ted Guild and Captain Dick Thomas gained titles of New England Wrestling Champions by winning their class competition in the N. E. tourney at Wesleyan Friday and Saturday.

As a team, the five Varsity men entered secured third place for the Crimson among the 10 colleges entered. Wesleyan was dethroned by Yale for the informal championship.

First Crimson Champ

Guild's victory in the 121-pound class and Thomas' defeat of defending champion Heironomus in the 155 marked the first time in recent years that Harvard has taken any championships in the meet. Tom Rogstad lost to VanderClute of Wesleyan in the heavyweight finals. Other Crimson Varsity entries were Doug Burns, Hal Tine, and Lee Sosman.
