Spring Sailing Season Opened by Yacht Club

Opening the spring sailing season, a Yacht Club meeting will be held in the Winthrop House Common Room tonight, and competition will begin with the first team race, against Boston University, tomorrow.

At the meeting tonight, plans for the spring will be announced, new officers elected, and colored movies of action in sailing meets will be shown by Jack Wood '43.

The schedule is crowded, with a major intercollegiate regatta each weekend. The Owens Trophy Regatta is to be held under the auspices of the Club on April 19.

Besides regular meets, one day each week will be spent by the colleges in Greater Boston on the Charles Basin, where they will have Varsity and Freshman races to determine the spring champion. Last fall's championship was won by a Harvard dink sailor, after a hotly-contested sail-off with M. I. T.
