Odell Nominated as Head Football Coach at Yale

Thirty-one year old Howie Odell, formerly assistant coach at Harvard from 1935 to 1937, will be officially nominated as Head football Coach at Yale by the Elis' Advisory Football Committee next Saturday, usually authoritative sources declared last night. Before assuming the post, the nominee must be approved by the President and Board of trustees, but this is usually an automatic measure once the nomination has been made.

Odell graduated from Pittsburgh in 1935, where he starred in football. After leaving Harvard in 1937, he became assistant coach at Pennsylvania and is now assistant coach at Wisconsin.
