'45 Can Try Out For Any One Of Four Crimson Boards, Down Beer Tonight

Ed Column Needs Swing, Theatre Column Writers

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The door to fame, fortune, and free beer, will open wide tonight at 7:30 o'clock to candidates for the four boards of the CRIMSON at the beautiful, ivy-covered building on Plympton Street.

The News Board offers the chance to get on the ground floor of Harvard's many departments. Students from far-away and strange lands, professors and experts on current events or unusual topics, burlesque queens, orchestra leaders, and many more interesting people are some of the favorite subjects of inquiring new reporters.

Ed Man Has Wide Range

Reformer, starter of bandwagons, maker and breaker of plays and movies, and sentimental spokesmen through easygoing Vag the Editorial Board opens to Sophomores the chance to write for the most widely quoted of America's collegiate ed columns in a wide range of styles.

The ed column is looking for a swing columnist and a theatre expert for its "From the Pit" department. So, if you'd like to chew the rag with the Count, the Duke and the rest of the aristocracy and point out Benny Goodman's latest solid records to Harvard's jazz fans, or write penetrating studies of the theatre, come in and talk it over through the team of a can of beer.

Practical Business Problems Met

All you economics majors or any others who are looking for some practical experience to supplement theory, can find out a lot about the inside of the business world and make many new contacts during a Business Board competition besides encountering in person some of the problems of business men in wartime.

The Photographic Board makes its darkroom, numerous Speed Graphics, and experience in picture-taking of subjects from Max Falkenberg to blackout sequence from the top of Widener available to new candidates.
