MATHER WILL SPEAK ON OIL IN LECTURE HALL

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Speaking tomorrow in a current events lecture, Kirtley F. Mather, prefessor of Geology, will talk on "Oil and the Flow of the War" in the New Lecture Hall at 4 o'clock.

In 1918, the Allies rode to victory on a sea of oil" Professor Mather supports this opinion by declaring that oil is even more important in this war than it was in the last.

The United States and its allies need oil, net only for fuel but also for producing synthetic rubber and explosives, both of which are most important in wartime.
