ATHLETICS PROGRAM REVISED; THREE NEW ACTIVITIES ADDED

Fradd Announces Boxing, Wrestling, Squash Classes

Beginning next Monday the University athletics program will be transferred to the Indoor Athletics Building until spring. The activities to be offered, in addition to swimming and military track, will be boxing, wrestling, and squash, Wrestling, which will include judo, will be taught with special emphasis on combat fighting.

All the above activities constitute major credits, with the exception of squash, which will be offered every day at all hours for half-hour periods. Players will sign slips for each period at the court where they play.

V-12ers will be required to spend one period a week in swimming, in boxing, and in wrestling, and two more in an optional activity.

Hours of classes will be as follows:

Swimming: 11:15, 12:15, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00.

Non-swimmers: 11:15, 12:15, 2:00, 2:30.

Boxing: 11:15, 12:15, 2:45, 3:45, 4:45.

Wrestling: 11:15, 12:15, 2:45, 3:45, 4:45.

Overcrowding Expected

Norman Fradd, Director of Physical Education, forecast overcrowding in all classes, especially from 3:00 to 6:00 o'clock and advised students to attend earlier classes whenever possible, since instructors will have more time to give individual attention then.

He also announced that the University boathouse has been reopened, and will be available to 150 experienced crewmen per afternoon, with Bert Haines in charge. Anyone who is uncertain whether he has sufficient experience should see the coach.
