PROVIDENCE BOYS CLUB TESTS MERMEN'S POWER

Coach Hal Union's water bables will wet their flippers in a sort of warm-up tonight when they face Providence Boys Club in the Indoor Athletic Building tank at 8:45 o'clock. The affair is strictly a bracer--before they meet Dartmouth Saturday night, and Princeton and Yale shortly thereafter.

John Eusden, who paces the swimmers, will have a dress rehearsal as the goes through his specialities; the 50 and 100 yard free style events. The rest of the squad will be likely to see somewhat stiffer events, as they prepare to try out their somewhat ragged Ivy League record of two wins and three losses. The Jayvees will stage a tussle with the Boston Boys Club before the bigger boys take off.

Other big guns in the Crimson's main battery are Dave Barnes who performs in the 220 and 440 yard free style specialties, George Christman, Barnes' aquatically, and Harvey Pastel who does gyrations from the diving boards.

The Providence club is a chummy, little clique who come out of Rhode Island every year to make like a swimming team against the Varsity. Just what is contained in their ranks is an unknown quantity, but Ulen's charges should take them in stride, as they do every year.
