As a matter of necessity--disbursing finals coming this weekend--this column must be short.

Morale in Class F is very high ... it was especially high last Saturday night. It seems Mr. Brooks gave an excellent speech, Mr. Bradley was loquacious; Mr. Conn was potting up the house, and everyone was happy. Oftentimes junior officers consider entertaining senior officers'' wives what one might say a bit of burden, but in the cause of Mrs. Coffin, wife of Lt. Coffin, it was a pleasure. Unmarried members of Class F hope they does well when they walk to the altar. Members of Class F enjoyed having Lt. and Mrs. Coffin as class sponsors very much.

Many interesting facts of life are often picked up from fragments of conversation which when fitted together reflect interesting attitudes as a whole. Mr. Block was overheard to say that he would like to have the faculty officers participate in calisthenics with the Senior class some morning.

Mr. Jennings, "I put five on the nose to win." Mr. Turner, "Don't you think my hew Beach Cloth whites look pretty sharp?"

Mr. Vitagline, "The Navy's a great place. I've always liked to play games." Mr. Tobias, "I'm going to be a muscle man yet!" Mr. Bull, "I only have to work fifteen minutes a night, my roommate. Burns, has the hot dope," (more Bull). Mr. Farrel, "I just told my roommate he could shoot the pistol as long as he wanted to if he waited to be the last man." Mr. Bunshaft, "Why didn't you mention my name last week in the column ... I need more publicity." Mr. Charpiot, "You should see the view of the country jail from our apartment." Mr. Al Harrison. "I had a straight flush but he still outdid me." Mr. Barney, "I've been trying to figure out how I can get 10 percent for the house." Mr. Harry Muff, "Have you heard the one about the traveling salesman ..." Mr. Chiddister, "Why did I apply for a commission ... life was sure wonderful at Great Lakes." Mr. Baldwin, "The is placed before an on page 63 of the Manual, whereas in the Memo the and is before the the--could you please explain this?" Mr. Bunje. "Take it from me life in the South Sea Islands is all right." Mr. Block, "Boy, could I have a good time in the South Sea is lands," Mr. Dutton, "Life wasn't like this with Du Pont." Mr. LeVee, "I've got the picture." Mr. Painter, "I asked a Kappa to marry me, but she though it more fun to stay in college."

Best Quote of the Week-was made by Lt. Hill while instructing Navy Regs. "The girls were dressed decent but not Boston."

Mr. Hill certainly deserved the simultaneous but automatic ovation given him at the conclusion of the Navy Regs course. Everyman was on his feet cheering before the command "Attention" could be given. He highlighted a dull course with human interest stories to illustrate his points. "Little Pay" we salute you.
