COUNCIL WILL ADD 7 MORE MEMBERS

'45--'46 Go to Polls For Tuesday Ballot

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Filling out the present skeleton proportions of the Student Council to 16 members, seven new civilian representatives will be chosen from the Classes of '45 and '46. The election will be held on Tuesday and will be conducted at large in the House dining halls during both the noon and evening meals.

Three men will be selected from '46, while four will represent '45. All men who have been at Harvard for at least one term will be eligible to cast their ballot for nominees of their respective class. This will include the NROTC and V-12ers of Kirkland and Eliot Houses for which special arrangements will be made to enable them to make their selections.

All of the nominees are from Adams, Dunster, and Lowell, although it is expected that two more men will be chosen from Dudley in the near future, with one to represent each class. The 18 nominations were made by the seven man Nominating Committee which was chosen by the Council. Previously all selections had been made by the Council body itself, but the special committee was inaugurated last year in order to make the balloting more democratic.

Automatically on the ballot as a result of their appointment to the Nominating Committee, those in this group include Radford Brokaw '46 and M. Muchado Osborne '45 of Adams House; William W. Dunn '46 and Dryden P. Morse '45 of Dunster House; and Kent C. Fry '46 and S. Taylor Boggs '45 of Lowell House.

In addition those selected by the Committee from Adams House are Walter E. Ditmars, Jr. '45, Richard K. Brown '46, H. Roderick Nordell '46, and James W. Perkins '45. Dunster's nominess include Lincoln D. Clark '46, Richard K. Friedlander '45, Frank D. Johnson '46, and James S. Thomas '45. Selected from Lowell House were David Rimer '46, Paul D. Tibbetts '45, Philip Troen '45, and William A. Withington '46.
