NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Students in the A-12 and V-12 programs will be without the use of the libraries in the houses in which they are bunked when the classes begin this week. The Navy has not authorized this week. The Navy has not authorized the College Library to keep an attendant in the houses occupied by students in training units.

The Navy has requested the use of the library in Eliot House as a reception room. The use of the libraries in Adams Lowell, and Dunster Houses by the students in the training units here will be regulated by the house masters. Widener Library has made accommodations to take care of the V-12 and AST students who wish to study in between classes.

Boylston Reading Room will remain closed this term unless the need for it gets much larger. The use of Widener has fallen off as much as 40 per cent in the last months of college in comparison to two years ago, but this was 20 per cent under what was expected. The Library diagnosed the infrequent use of its facilities by the officers in the yard to their lack of time.
