DUNSTER WINS FIRST PLACE
Rolling up softball, wins over Lowell and the Kirkland Sailors and taking a touch football victory from Dudley yesterday, Dunster continued its winning streak this week to place first in the Interhouse League in three of the four sports.
Leading in softball, volley ball, and touch football which was started Wednesday, the Funster have dropped no games so far this week. Adams holds second place in the House League with the Bellboys and the Commuters ranking third and fourth. Volley ball has been dropped from the list of House sports because of a lack of interest but old scores still count toward League standings. The Gold Coasters still lead in the baseball league with Dunster a close second.
In the Platoon Softball League Pfc. Carl W. Jones pitched Platoon 2 to a one hit victory over Pfc. Stanley W. page's All Stars of Platoon 1.
Other touch football games this week included an Adams' win over Lowell 3 to 0 Wednesday with Kirkland squeezing a 4 to 3 victory from Eliot yesterday. Adams defeated the Eliot V-12ers in baseball yesterday 5 to 3.
Dunster won all its games this week by a big score margin. In the softball game Wednesday with the Kirkland V-12ers the Funsters rang up a score of 14 to 2. Then yesterday afternoon in softball Dunster hung a 14 to 0 defeat on the lagging Bellboys. Dudley was completely swamped by Dunster yesterday afternoon in a touch football game with a score of 20 to 6.
The newly organized Intramural League which includes both the Platoon Leagues, the three Houses, Dudley, and the Kirkland and Eliot V-12ers is still in embryonic form. Rainy weather cancelled many of the scheduled games
