Harvard President Garber Declines To Rule Out Police Response To Campus Protests
Dr. Karl Deutsch of the M. I. T. history department will speak Tuesday night in the Lowell House Junior Common Room at the launching of a new discussion series entitled "Liberalism in a World at War." The meetings, to be held every Tuesday night at 7:15 o'clock for the next seven weeks, will be open to all members of Harvard and Radcliffe and their guests.
Others to Speak
"Has Liberalism Failed?" will be the topic of the opening meeting, at which Dr. Deutsch will preside. Speakers at the later meetings will include Professor R. B. Perry on "William James's Contribution to Liberalism"; Dean Henry W. Holmes on "What is Liberal Education?"; Professor F. O. Matthiessen on "Liberalism in American History"; and the Rev. Ernest Kuebler on "Making a Liberal Faith Effective."
