LOWELL DEFEATED BY ADAMS QUINTET

The last three days of the intramural basketball league has witnessed a series of surprising upsets, although the relative status of the competitors was not affected. Down and almost out Adams team trimmed the Bellboys by the decisive score of 30 to 18 in the most startling game.

An unofficial defeat of the Lowellmen on Tuesday at the hands of the hitherto impotent ASTP team, 31 to 17, accentuates the impression. This levelling out of the positions will no doubt increase the competition and give most of the teams a chance to come out on top.

In the opinion of Coach Samborski the Adams vs. Lowell struggle was by far the best played. Team work and the high scorers Zimmer and Wheelright of Lowell and Adams respectively accounted for the excellence of the match.

Other scores in the Tuesday matches were: Company D 46, to 16 for Company 1, Dunster 32 to Adam's 24. On Wednesday, Company A continued their winning streak by defeating Company C. In yesterday's games the ROTC trimmed Company D to the tune of 32 to 17, Company H trounced Company I 36 to 19, and in a hard fought match, Company C was the victor over Company B 21 to 19. Tomorrow Lowell will play the ASTP at 2 o'clock.
